Software Developer for Test and Simulation Framework (m/f/d)

As a Software Developer located in Manching, you will be part of the main team responsible for providing Test and Simulation Means to support various aircraft programs throughout development, integration and testing phases using our tools.

To support the further evolution of these tools in the context of upcoming new aircraft development programs, we are seeking a talented and passionate software expert who will enrich our motivated team of software and avionics professionals.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Design and develop software for our Test and Simulation Framework (TSF) in C++
• Develop frontend elements, software services and our Desktop Virtual Rig Environment (MaTE DTVR)
• Simulate, design, implement and independently execute development tests (unit/module) and conduct code reviews
• Apply state-of-the-art technologies and development techniques
• Actively contribute to virtual engineering (mixed environment of simulations and real hardware)
• Provide 2nd Level Rig Support for TSF (AIDASS / MaTE / SI²)
• Support customers in application development and system testing
• Participate in the continuous improvement process
• Support software teams in concepts and technologies

Desired skills and qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 6+ years of experience in a related field
• Excellent programming skills in C++

• Solid knowledge in:

• Qt, Visual Studio MFC, Eclipse RCP
• Software design, patterns & architecture
• System programming and cross-platform development
• CI/CD
• Agile methods (Scrum, Kanban)

• Bonus skills:

• Programming in Python, Java, Ada
• Networking, field buses, and distributed systems

• Fluent in English (negotiation level), intermediate German skills are a plus
